I discovered this cool journal at Barnes & Noble this afternoon. The paper pages are made from the bark of the Daphne plant - commonly known as "Lokta" - which grows in the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal. The pages are unlined and have a cool ripped effect to their seams, giving this journal a sort of old fashioned look.
This journal will serve as the perfect new scrapbook for my photos of Stevie Nicks' backup singers, Sharon Celani and Lori Nicks. I've been collecting photos of the girls for several years, and was keeping a handful of prints in a small, pink leather Hallmark journal. Unfortunately, there was something about that scrapbook that just never seemed right to me, and the other day I decided that I should go back and make a new scrapbook. Now I can, with this Lokta-paper journal!

I can't wait to get started on this new scrapbook, because I will take the time to put it together really nicely - after all, I want to have this scrapbook on me when I meet Sharon and Lori someday! And the unlined pages will be perfect for when I get the girls' autographs, too! :)
